DIVE MEDICAL TECHNICIAN
Dive Medical Technician Course
This course is open to licensed medical personnel including EMT, Paramedic, Respiratory Therapists, and Registered Nurses. The course is 48 hours and meets Module 16 requirements to be certified as a Dive Medical Technician.
Course Tuition: $900
Course Dates: TBD
Class Days: Monday - Friday
Class Times: 0800 - 1700
Skills Lab: This course has a skills lab where the student will learn intubation and advanced airway skills, minor suturing, IV therapy, and other skills necessary to work in remote locations. The skills lab is included in the course tuition.
SCUBA Requirement: Students must have Advanced Open Water as their minimum level of certification to become certified as Dive Medical Technicians. Students without SCUBA certification will become certified as Hyperbaric Technicians. Students wanting to become Advanced Open Water certified should contact the training department for additional information on certification requirements. SCUBA certification is not included in course tuition.
