TRAUMA FIRST RESPONSE

  

This 1-day, 8 hour course is designed to create awareness of the necessary medical skills needed in training and real world environments. The class will teach baseline medical skills to non-medical personnel. These skills will also provide the necessary tools to render "Buddy-Aid" as well as "Self-Care" in the tactical environment.

This is a National Association of Emergency Medical Technician (NAEMT) course and the successful completion of this course will result in a certificate from NAEMT.

Classroom Topics include:· Civilian care vs. Tactical care· Care Under Fire· Tactical Field Care· Trauma Tools used, to include                - Chest Seals                - Tourniquets                - Hemostatics                - Pressure Dressings                - Gauze· Other Considerations                - Body Armor                - Weapon Security                - Evacuation                - Trauma Kits Practical Skills covered include:· Tourniquets· Hemostatics· Wound Packing· Pressure Dressing· Chest Seals· Evacuations· Scenarios

· CPR Refresher/Update
